African Corn Lily
Ixia Flower
A lush display of different tones in the African Corn Lily that blooms in Spring.
Multi toned African Corn Lily flowers opening and going into full bloom in a mass display. In the tones of yellows and striped in hot pink the flowers are stunning and dance about in the breeze.
The Ixia flower also known as African Corn Lily is native to South Africa. The African Corn Lily has long sword shaped green leaves that grow long and often bend over in the breeze because of there length. Bees and insects just adore these flowers.
Once planted each year after flowering they will die down and come back the following year in Spring. Varieties come in many tones from pinks to yellows, white and more.
Photo taken in Melbourne, Australia.
