African Corn Lily - Ixia Flower
Multi toned Ixia almost in full bloom. The flowers open from the base of the flower going upwards as the flowers develop. In the tones of yellow and striped in hot pink the flowers are stunning. The buds are still in the tones of yellow and red.
The Ixia flower also known as African Corn Lily is native to South Africa. The African Corn Lily has long sword shaped green leaves that grow long and often bend over in the breeze. Bees and insects just love these flowers.
Once planted each year after flowering they will die down and come back the following Spring. I love these flowers the colour varieties are many. Often on one flower spike there will be an array of many tones. You can see just a solid toned bloom.
