Onion Weed or Wild Garlic
Asphodelus fistulosus
Onion weed plant is proclaimed noxious weed in Australia and grows very easily. White petals on the outside have a green to blue strip in the middle of the petal. The flowers hang in clusters at the end of a long stork look very graceful.
Onion weed is a perennial. Onion weed produces abundant fertile seeds and if crushed it does smell like an onion. Apparently, this weed can be eaten. I have never done so.
Due to its growing habit, it is extremely difficult to remove from your garden.
