Grevillea Fireworks
Small bloom ground cover
Grevillea Fireworks is an Australian native small to medium shrub. The Grevillea Fireworks has bright red and yellow flowers, and soft grey/green foliage. Flowers occur on the end of short branches. The leaves which are thin are close the the bloom.
When seen like this in a tight cluster it is just before the explosion of colour becomes the open flower and develops arm like parts to the the flower with these curls. It is seen flowering from autumn to spring. Plants are both frost and drought tolerant and are useful for attracting birds to your garden.
The red Grevillea flower has yellow almost ball like ends to the bloom.
A lot of Australian flowers are not the common petal variety that most people think of.
