Description
Banksia Flower
Proteaceae Family
Australian Native Flora
Banksias were named after Sir Joseph Banks (1743-1820 ).
The head of the Banksia is made up of hundreds of small flowers. The colour of the flower heads usually ranges from yellow and orange to red. Many species flower over autumn and winter. The Banksia shrub takes no maintenance. The Banksia lives on very little rain in summer.
