In June the gumnuts drape from the branches on the Eucalyptus tree. Displayed on the left are yellow to red flower buds.
Red Eucalyptus variety called Corymbia ficifolia Wildfire displaying her gumnuts after the flowers have died off. Gumnuts are the fruit of the Eucalyptus tree. They can stay on the branch for a long time. They can still be on the tree the following flowering season.
Eucalyptus Trees also known as Gum Trees grow 30 plus feet tall. They can randomly drop limbs.
When the flowers open they are bright and glowing red. This Eucalyptus tree had all three stages of its cycle. The tree was displaying gumnuts, flower buds and a few open red flowers.
Eucalypts are a evergreen tree.
