Common Name – Swamp Mallow or Rose Mallow
The rose mallow has varieties in white, pink or red flowers, with a reddish deep purple to black almost eye of the flower. Plant in borders, containers or at the front of shrubberies. Perennial.
Small growing plant about a foot tall from the ground the Hibiscus Moscheutos or Swamp Mallow is a very unusual flower and more so bud.
The purple bud of the Hibiscus plant develops into a soft white to almost lemon toned flower. With green and soft green on the other buds with red marking in the pleated seams gives these buds a unusual and striking appearance.
The buds at the just about to burst open. This Hibiscus is a small plant that is growing in fine red gravel. This plant would only get watered by the rain.
When the Hibiscus bud opens the petals are soft white with a almost deep purple to almost black centre with yellow centre area and black ends that finish the stamens.
