Crabapple Tree Flower Buds
Malus Charlottae
Rosaceae
Natural Black Background
The Malus Charlottae variety of the Crabapple Tree has very pale pink edging going around the outside of the closed buds.
Once open the bloom is white with yellow stamens. Often some of the flowers are more pink than others being just soft white.
Bees just love this bloom on the Crabapple Tree. The tree of the Crabapple makes a great display once covered with flowers and humming with bees.
Flowering in very late Winter and start of Spring the blooms are now opening with just another week of Winter to go. The white flowers almost look like they are in a ball.
Photo taken in Melbourne, Australia.
